Passion, Sincerity, Longevity, and Accomplishment
Ewan Graham Fine Artist Norfolk
Artist Ewan Graham was born in Scotland in 1960 and has over the decades nurtured his love of art and embraces a passion about the power of art to transform lives. Based in the heart of Norfolk; his activity explores light and tonal shift, creating an exciting and diverse range of art works.
He is personally drawn to memorable pieces which lead the viewer into a story, each piece enabling the viewer to create their own interpretation. Ewan has studied with several established artists and is eternally grateful to those that have supported his development and acted as mentors over the years. Each piece is personally signed, with a unique reference identifier.
My art raison d’etre:
Creating pieces from imagination, presents me necessary freedom to make atmospheric pieces; landscapes, seascapes, and fantasy nebula, all capturing my mood at the time. Painting what pleases and speaks to me in a particular moment helps my drive to convey a sense of calm (or otherwise) and enables me to paint instinctively. Defying categorisation, offers a gateway to ethereal unspecified places, capturing mood and movement.
Like for many artists, the occasional foray into abstraction is a welcome rupture, creating without constraints. Themes of paintings are derived from inspiration of countryside, imagination, observation and on occasion wanderlust.
Breaking News
Excited to announce my submission to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2024 has been shortlisted.
‘When Dust and Gas Collide’ measures 24” x 18”, Oil on Canvas Board. Inspired by the amazing pictures returned by the Hubble Space Telescope over the years. My abstracted interpretation takes a recognised form and stretches it within the imagination to deliver a plausible alternative.
I’m so looking forward to delivering it to the Royal Academy in May for final assessment, and hopefully selected for inclusion in this year’s exhibition.
Nebula Limited Addition Collection
After amazing feedback from my Artspace Woodbridge solo exhibition I’m pleased to announce a limited edition run of my nebula series. 15 sets are available on a first come first served basis.
ARTSPACE WOODBRIDGE
(2nd-8th May 2024)
Now the excitement of presenting my first major solo exhibition has calmed down (only a little), I’ve been reflecting on the week and considering just how profoundly moved I am at the support given by many friends, family, and members of the public.
It was so lovely to see everyone, and to share my art story. I really appreciate your personal interest and the time you made to travel to Woodbridge to visit in person.
As an artist now (who might have thought I’d be saying that), I’m slowly working my way through the options of how to gauge the success of my artistic endeavours. I found my answer: with 31 paintings finding their new homes, along with several prints, I’m feeling a sense of validation, underpinning a deeper confidence for the future.
Thank you again for your incredible support. Whilst I still have a range of work available, I’ll be gradually rebuilding a portfolio of work. A selection of this will be included in the gallery section of my website, perhaps worth keeping an eye just in case…
You can be sure to be offered advance notification of future event dates as they are scheduled
You may find my Instagram profile of interest, where examples of my work are uploaded throughout the year. @ewangraham_art
