Autumn Dusk Descends

This piece incorporates the loose use of brush work, and impasto textures applied with a painting knife. Autumn leaf foliage can be described as a phenomenon; as the chlorophylls degrade the hidden pigments of yellow and orange are revealed. It’s a lot of science, and likely beyond my comprehension. I simply enjoy capturing the changing mood autumn delivers as the sun beats down.
