Autumnal Glory

Drawn again and again to the powerful yet mystical effects the setting sun has on the landscape, this piece is set during the ‘golden hour’, at these times the sunlight has to travel through more atmosphere, shifting it to warmer colours. I’m constantly amazed by the shift in the angles of light. The trees here are in cooler colours and darker values – the warm light is not reaching them since they are in shadow!
