The Lightning Tree

Walking through the countryside reveals the wonder of nature, but also on occasion the power of her force. In this piece I wanted to bring sharp focus on a tree previously struck by lightning, with its gnarled branches reaching upwards in pseudo-defiance. Often new life can be seen re-emerging within the bows of damaged trees, the natural result of rain and sunshine sustaining life.
