The terrain squelching underfoot, the rising aromas of damp grasses, sedge, and rushes, accompanied by the sounds of migrating birds settling for the night.  Use of the painting knife softening the vast sky, and brushes scumbling the foreground creating the herbaceous vegetation between soft.
